The runner up of Eurovision Song Contest 2016, Dami Im will be releasing her sixth album this year and ahead of its release we will be listening to the second single of the album. The latest Dami’s release is “Lonely Cactus” she previously released “Paper Dragon” the song which she was considering to send to the Australian National final Eurovision: Australia Decides next year.
About her newest single “Lonely Cactus” Dami said:
While I was working on promoting my last single ‘Paper Dragon’, I became obsessed with cacti. I really wanted to write a song about a cactus and it started off as an idea about myself. On one hand I feel lonely and want to be around other people, and on the other hand I quickly get annoyed and prickly around people and just want to be left alone. I took the idea to our writing session and we tweaked it to mean it’s about a friend rather than myself because everyone knows someone who is that way.
Dami Im will be performing live in the upcoming weeks given the situation with Covid 19 pandemic in Australia is getting better and the entertainment industry will be following the measures but still organise the events for where the artists will be able to perform and the audience will be able to enjoy their performances.
