Samanta Tina – Latvia’s Entry Anticipated Via New Series

We already know that Latvia will be represented in Rotterdam by Samanta Tina.  Samanta won the preselection ‘Supernova’ in 2020, but of course did not get her chance to perform at the Ahoy Arena due to the cancellation of the 2020 edition of the contest.

Samanta has always dreamt of representing Latvia at Eurovision, and was thrilled to be asked by the broadcaster LTV to return with a new song for 2021, and this morning additional news has shed some light on when (and how) we might get to listen to the new song.

LTV have confirmed a series of shows entitled ‘Ka Uzvaret Eirovizija (Samantas Tinas Cels Uz Roterdamu)’, which translates as ‘How To Win Eurovision – Samanta Tina’s Road To Rotterdam’ which will run every Friday from 12th February, for five weeks. They have released a short trailer for the show which you can see here:

This series will see the unveiling of the song that Samanta has prepared for Eurovision 2021, but we may have to wait until the final episode airs on 12th March to hear it.  A few weeks ago, Samanta released a teaser on Instagram, hinting that the song may possibly go by the title of ‘Moon Is Rising’.  One thing we do know for sure, is that Samanta will once again bring her powerful vocals and will do all she can to make her beloved Latvia proud!

While we wait for the song, you can enjoy Samanta’s 2020 entry ‘Still Breathing’ right here:

And of course, our team were there in Riga for the National Final and were able to speak with Samanta from the stage following her victory, you can see from our interview just how much it meant to her!
