The Roop Will Represent Lithuania in Rotterdam

The Lithuanian national final, Pabandom iš Naujo, finished just a few moments ago, and we can now confirm that Lithuania will be represented in Rotterdam by The Roop with their song ‘Discoteque’

The Roop won Pabandom Iš Naujo in 2020 with ‘On Fire’ and quickly became big favourites for the overall Eurovision win before the contest was cancelled.  Unlike many of the other 2020 artists who were automatically selected for 2021, The Roop had to participate in the national final for their place.  They overcame some strong competition to gain that all important ticket to the Ahoy Arena.

A total of six songs competed in the final, The Roop were the favourites of both the jury and the public, with an incredible 87% of the vote.  The overall final result was:

  1. The Roop – Discoteque
  2. Gebrasy – Where’d You Wanna Go
  3. Voldermars Petersons – ‘Never Fall For You Again’
  4. Martyna – ‘Thank You Very Much’
  5. Evita Cololo – ‘Be paslapciu’
  6. Titas Ir benas – ‘No’
