Since its debut in 1965, Finland competed 53 times. Yet, it only qualified to 45 finals. It missed 8 Grand Finals since the introduction of the Semi-Finals system in 2004. Although went internal in the past, Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu is the Finnish national final since 2012.
In this year’s edition, 8 songs are competing for the chance to represent Finland in Rotterdam. Last year’s winner Aksel will be participating again this year. Although she represented Estonia in 2005 and 2017, Laura will participate in this selection as well. The running order was released earlier today.
