Zena submitted her song for the Belarusian national selection for Eurovision 2021!

The Belarusian national broadcaster BTRC is one of the few national broadcasters which decided not to keep their selected entrants from the 2020 Contest, and started an open call for songs back in early January in order to find their entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2021. The submision window was opened till 31st January, and they have received approximately 50 songs. One of the submissions is apparently from a well-known artist, who has already represented her country in Belarus – Zena!

First mention of her possible comeback was in January, when she replied in a Q&A series on her Instagram account that she may be back to Eurovision this year. Right now, belarusian media report that she submitted her song for NF 2021, according to the portal TUT.BY.

Generally we don’t know who will be Zena’s rival in selection procces oficially, because the broadcaster didn’t publish names of any applicants in the selection process. But we have known arleady from the media that the singer and actress Elena ZheludOK as well as KAZKA– singer from Russia have submitted their entries as well. Local media discuss about runner-up of NF 2020 – CHAKRAS as the possible entrants.

If Zena Kupriyanovich wins Belarussian NF 2021, it won’t be her first apperance on Eurovision stage. In 2019 she represented Belarus with the song “Like It”, and she finised in 24th position in the Grand Final. She also tried to represent Belarus in Junior Eurovision Song Contest twice- in 2015 (she placed 4th) and she was third in 2015. At last she was one of the hosts of JESC 2018.
