Ana Maria Bordas and Alexandra Redde join the Junior Eurovision Song Contest Steering Group!

The Steering Group for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest welcomes two new members: Ana Maria Bordas and Alexandra Redde!
Ana Maria is the current Head of Delegation for Spain on behalf of broadcaster RTVE and Alexandra Redde is France TV’s Head of Delegation for France.

The steering group is defined as following by the EBU: ”The Junior Eurovision Song Contest (JESC) Steering Group is the executive committee representing all Members whose purpose it is to supervise and guide the Junior Eurovision Song Contest (JESC).”
And consists of: a chairman, two elected members among the Heads of Delegations, The executive producer of the previous host country, the executive producer of the current year’s host broadcaster and the executive producer of the next host broadcaster and lastly, the EBU Junior Eurovision Song Contest Executive Supervisor.

As such, these are the current members listed on the corresponding EBU website:

  • Ekaterina Orlova (RTR – Russia)
  • Olga Salamakha (BTRC – Belarus)
  • Marta Piekarska (TVP – Poland)
  • Alexandra Redde (France TV – France)
  • Carla Bugalho (RTP – Portugal)
  • Anja Zegwaard (AVROTROS – The Netherlands)
  • Natia Mshvenieradze (GPB – Georgia)
  • Ana Maria Bordas (RTVE – Spain)
  • Martin Österdahl (EBU – Sweden)

Both ladies spearhead very succesful delegations at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest!
Spain have never finished lower than 4th and added a new top 3 placing under their belt with Soleá’s ‘Palante’ last November:

France also have an outstanding track record at the contest, never ending lower than 6th, two top 2-placings, among which, the latest, their fresh victory a few months ago, when Valentina sang ‘J’imagine’ to first place!

This means, that this autumn, the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 will be taking place in France!
