On 23rd of December Anxhela Peristeri won Festivali i Këngës 59 with “Karma” and became the representative of Albania at Eurovision Song Contest 2021. Karma was written by Olti Curri and composed by Kledi Bahiti.

This was Anxhela’s second time participating at Festivali i Këngës, her previous attempt happened back in 2001 prior to Albania taking part at Eurovision Song Contest. In addition to that she is familiar to the Albanian audience as the winner of the first season of TV Show “Your Face Sounds Familiar” in 2016. She won Kënga Magjike with the song “E Çmëndur” in 2017. The original version of the song with which she won Festivali i Këngës 59 has now been revamped, and it was released along with the official music video you can watch it below.
