Dora remains in Opatija after a long-term hosting contract has been made!

While the official confirmation of participation of Croatia at Eurovision 2022 is still awaited we’ve got news about upcoming Dora. As eurosong.hr reports the Croatian broadcaster HRT is already making plans for the preparation of the next editon of Dora.  Director of the Opatija festival, Ernie Gigante Dešković was a guest in a Croatian morning show “Dobro jutro Hrvatska! and has revealed that HRT has agreed on a new long-term household contract with the city of Opatija regarding the organization of the Music Days of Croatian Radio and Television, and that Dora will be organized in Opatija.

I deeply believe that it has great significance. Namely, our cooperation with HRT is really praiseworthy and excellent and I am using this opportunity to point that out. Such events are very valuable and important for us because they actually put the value of those events that take place in Opatija at the national level.

The mayor of Opatija, Ivo Dujmić said that Opatija has always been the city of festivals with some of the oldest taking place there and therefore Dora and Opatija are an unbreakable link. Dora 2021 was won by Albina and she will be performing her song “Tick-Tock” in the second half of the first semi-final which is set to take place on 18th of May. You can listen to the song below
