Jeangu macroy releases his Eurovision entry for The Netherlands

Jeangu Macroy has Tonight released his entry for this years Eurovision Song Contest.

The song which will represent The Netherlands this year is called “Birth Of A New Age”, with the music video being filmed at in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.

Jeangu performed the song along side the ZO! Gospel Choir. He was backed by three percussionists aswell as his band.

Speaking to Dutch commentator Cornald Maas during the livestream, Jeangu spoke about people who have the courage to speak up and stand tall, saying:

“The song is an ode to everyone who stands up for themselves and dares to celebrate the power of their authenticity.”

Jeangu performs parts of the song in his mother tongue language of Sranan Tongo.

As the host country, The Netherlands automatically qualify to compete in the final. The song will be performed 23rd.
