LIVE: Melodifestivalen 2021 – Andra Chansen!

Now that we know the results of all four heats, it’s time to look towards Andra Chansen, the second chance round of Melodifestivalen 2021!
As you know, this edition will be little different from what we’re used to from Mello. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no audience present at any of the live shows and the touring, every show in a different city in Sweden, won’t happen this year either: all shows will be held at the Annexet venue in Stockholm.

While the battle arenas won’t be changing this year, the hosts will certainly do so! One man will be with us every single week, while his co-hosts will be new faces every time.
Christer Björkman has represented Sweden at Eurovision 1992 with ‘Imorgon är en annan dag’ and turned ‘’the new Melodifestivalen’’ (with several heats and touring the cities) into a huge success is saying farewell after 20 years and he will be our anchor every week, hosting his beloved contest for the first time.
Today it’s Shirley Clamp’s turn, who had her big breakthrough in Melodifestivalen 2004, when she qualified to the final via, exactly: Andra Chansen! With ‘Min kärlek’ she ended up as high as 2nd place and the song has been a Melodifestivalen classic ever since!

These duels have been formed for tonight’s Andra Chansen, of which each winner will qualify to the grand final!

Duel 1:

Alvaro Estrella – Baila baila vs Lillasyster – Pretender

Duel 2:

Frida Green – The Silence vs Paul Rey – The Missing Piece

Duel 3:

Eva Rydberg & Ewa Roos – Rena rama ding dong vs Clara Klingenström – Behöver inte dig idag
