Maneskin are the winners of the Sanremo festival!

Since its first edition in 1951, the Sanremo song festival gained popularity in Italy and also abroad with its format serving as an inspiration to the Eurovision. Many of the finest Italian artists competed in the festival such as Gigliola Cinquetti, Andrea Bocelli, Il Volo and many others. It also served as the Italian national final for the Eurovision Song Contest for most of the country’s participations in the contest.

This year, 26 artists competed for the title of Italy’s next representative in the Eurovision Song Contest. After all the songs were performed, we got the full rankings from 26th to 4th place, and the top three acts – Francesca Michelin and Fedez, Ermal Meta and Maneskin advanced to the Superfinal. The demoscopic jury, the press jury and televoting then decided the winner of the final three acts, and it was Maneskin.
