Måns Zelmerlöw on his plans to return to Eurovision
Måns Zelmerlöw has spoken about how he’d like to return to the Eurovision Song Contest.
Speaking of returning Måns told Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet:
I love this competition and someday I would like to come back of course. But then I have to feel that I have the right song and a song that could be challenging in Eurovision. It is clear that there is a dream of winning Eurovision again, as Johnny Logan did.
Måns will be presenting the final of this year’s Melodifestivalen this evening alongside actress and singer Shima Niavarani (13th March)
Speaking about his presenting role this evening, Måns said:
It felt obvious when Christer (Björkman) called and asked if I wanted to lead. It was 2010 I last led the program and it felt like it was time.
Måns and co-presenter Shima Niavarani have written and rehearsed a new opening number for Tonight’s Melodifestivalen final. Mans said of Shima:
I think she has incredible comic timing, sings well and we have many similarities while we are different. We will do a number around that.
When asked who will win the Melodifestivalen this year, Måns says that he thinks it will be between Tusse , The Mamas , Dotter , Eric Saade and Danny Saucedo. He also talks of how Clara Klingenström could do well.
Måns said:
The fun thing this year is that it feels completely open. Whatever we send to Eurovision, I think I will think it’s good.
