Melodifestivalen 2021 – this is ESCBubble’s winner!

The Grand Final of the 2021 edition of Melodifestivalen, Sweden’s national final for the Eurovision Song Contest, is going to take place tonight. A total of 12 acts are competing to represent Sweden in the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest, which is going to be held in Rotterdam.

As soon as the “Second Chance” show ended last Saturday, and we knew all 12 finalists of this year’s Melodifestivalen, we started a poll where we asked you to let us know which of these 12 acts are YOUR personal favorites. This poll was closed today at 14:00 CET. The results of our poll have been combined with our jury votes (in a 50-50% voting system). 15 of our team members:  Nathan, Nick, Kyle, Matt, Marco, Jan, Nina, Ervin, Cain, Melissa, Sebastian, Nikola, Olivier, David and Joe, as well as one guest jury member – Editor in Chief of Sweden’s QX Magazine, Ronny Larsson, represent the votes of ESCBubble’s jury. In this combined vote, we have found ESCBubble’s winner of Sweden’s Melodifestivalen 2021.

You can watch the entire voting (including the reveal of the results of our poll) right here:

After the votes of our jury members, Dotter took the lead ahead of Tusse in second, and last year’s winners – The Mamas in third place. The full results of our jury is as follows:

131 Dotter
124 Tusse
123 The Mamas
100 Eric Saade
76 Charlotte Perrelli
75 Clara Klingenström
63 Anton Ewald
57 Klara Hammarström
49 Alvaro Estrella
47 Arvingarna
46 Danny Saucedo
37 Paul Rey

The full results of our poll are as follows:

As you can see, Eric Saade is the favorite with our readers, but Tusse was in a close second place. Tusse scored enough of a gap to take over the first place from Dotter, but Eric’s poll victory was not enough for an overall win. Tusse is thus ESCBubble’s winner of Melodifestivalen 2021!
