The music video for Jeangu’s “Birth Of A New Age” has been released!

Jeangu will represent the Netherlands at Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with the song “Birth of a New Age” the song was presented yesterday through a live stream event.  Dutch Eurovision entry is performed in English but it features a creole language spoken in Suriname, Sranan Tongo and this will be the first time it got performed at the Eurovision stage.

Jeangu wrote the song together with Pieter Perwquin. His team also consists of his producer Perquisite who will be the creative supervisor and it has been revealed that the Belgian director Hans Pannecoucke is the one responsible for the stage directing of the Dutch act at this years Eurovision Song Contest. He has been in the Dutch Eurovision team since 2014, when The Common Linnets represented The Netherlands at the show. In addition to that, he was the one directing the performances of several other countries and artists including: Trijntje Oosterhuis, Douwe Bob, Manel Navarro, ZibbZ, Waylon… and Thim IJzerman for the light. AVROTROS announced this on Thursday.

Last November it has been announced that he will be performing as 23rd act in the final of the show which is the same number he would’ve had at the cancelled Eurovision 2020.The music video of “Birth Of A New Age” has been recorded in the Rijksmuseum you can watch it below
