Danish producer, Mads Enggaard has announced that he will be in charge of the staging for the performance of Azerbaijan at this years edition of Eurovision. Mads is no stranger to Eurovision Song Contest, he has previously worked in the viewing room production at the contest in 2014, 2015, 2017, as well as Junior Eurovision 2018.
Mads has so far been in charge of the performances for Denmark at Eurovision 2004, 2010, 2018 and 2019 and in addition to that he worked with Azerbaijan as the stage director of “Truth” by Chingiz at Eurovision 2019, so this will be his second time working with them. Last year he should’ve been the one to stage “Cleopatra” before the contest got cancelled.
Efendi will be performing “Mata Hari” in the second half of the first semi-final which is set to take place on 18th of May. You can listen to the song below
