Blas Cantó released “I’ll Stay” – the english version of “Voy A Quedarme”

Blas Cantó has released the  English version of  his Eurovision 2021 entry “Voy A Quedarme” titled “I’ll stay”. He wanted to do the same last year given the fact that he really likes the English language and would love to reach more people with the lyrics of his song. Blas also said that he missed singing in English because he spent half his life and career doing that so he has been working with his team:  Leroy Sánchez, Dángelo Ortega and  Dan Hammond to create the version which will keep the same emotion and meaning as the original.

The English version  preserves the meaning of the song  and  takes it to another ‘universe’ . It has not been difficult to adapt the lyrics. All the parts have flowed very well. Even the ‘I will always dance with you’ we have translated it as’ I will dance with you until the end. ‘It’s the same concept and that’s what an adaptation is all about.
