France Télévisions reveals more information at a press conference with Barbara Pravi!

At the end of January Barbara Pravi won Eurovision France, c’est vous qui décidez, and she has been selected as the next French entrant at Eurovision. Since then she performed her winning song “Voilà” in many shows, one of those was at Spanish Telecinco given the fact that her song was featured as the soundtrack of of the documentary “Rocío: contar la verdad para seguir viva”.

In a month’s time Eurovision Song Contest 2021 will start and ahead of it France Télévisions organized a press conference from one of the oldest recording studios in Paris, Studios Saint Germain, where Barbara wrote her Eurovision entry Voilà.

In addition to that Barbara also revealed that she couldn’t believe that her national final performance gathered a million views in a day and she told that one of her favourite Eurovision songs was Portuguese winning entry at Eurovision 2017, “Amar Pelos Dois” for which she recently recorded a French cover – you can find out more about it in our article HERE. Further statistics from the French Eurovision program were revealed – a total of 3 million people watched Barbara’s victory at Eurovision C’est Vous Qui Decidez while 3.5 million viewers followed all of the 12 acts which were previously announced to compete at the French selection.

During the press conference it was also revealed that starting from 10th of May, each evening at 20:40 CET on France 2 short Eurovision related programs will be aired. At the evening of the grand final of Eurovision 2021 Laurent Delahousse is preparing a special episode of “20h30 le Samedi” with behind the scenes content. Laurence Boccolini has been revealed as the commentator of Eurovision 2021 semi-finals which are set to broadcast on France 4 .

It was announced that French representative at Junior Eurovision 2019, Carla, will be their spokesperson at Eurovision 2021. The winner of Junior Eurovision 2020, Valentina, recorded a special message to Barbara, who wrote the winning entry “J’imagine”, wishing her victory in Rotterdam:

Thank you so much for writing “J’imagine” for me, the song that brought me victory in Junior Eurovision. Now it’s your turn!

They also presented part from a documentary which is directed by Gianluca Materrese and tells a story about Barbara’s Eurovision journey.
