Graphics for Jeangu’s performance to be created by Maincourse!

Jeangu has revealed his entry for Eurovision 2021, “Birth of a New Age” on 4th of March .The following day the official music video filmed at the Rijksmuseum has been released. Jeangu wrote the song together with Pieter Perwquin it features a creole language spoken in Suriname, Sranan Tongo, which will be making its Eurovision debut. His team also consists of his producer Perquisite who will be the creative supervisor and Belgian director Hans Pannecoucke is revealed as the one responsible for the stage directing of the Dutch act at this years contest

The visual animation company Maincourse created by Mark Vankan and Reinier Reynhout from Eindhoven has been selected to create the graphics for the Dutch performance. Maincourse makes all kinds of animation videos in both 2D and 3D. Their work has been featured in a show by cabaret artist Guido Weijers and at the national countdown moment on New Year’s Eve.

We are not allowed to tell anything about the content of the show, we had to promise that. We can only say that we can get started with the large screen and the floor projection.

In an interview for ED they revealed that the animation seen at the live presentation of Dutch Eurovision entry cannot be compared with the animation they are preparing for the Eurovision stage. They added that “Birth of A New Age” is an exciting song which gives them many options for the design. You can check the presentation video of the Dutch entry below
