Iceland won’t be making their debut at Junior Eurovision 2021!

According to Eurofestivales Iceland won’t be making their debut at Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021. They were informed by the Icelandic Head of Press, Rúnar Freyr, that Iceland will not take part at this years edition of Junior Eurovision even though at the end of 2019, their possible appearance at other Eurovision related contests was hinted. Unfortunately it won’t come to that this year. Iceland broadcast the inaugural edition of Junior Eurovision back in 2003 but they never took part at the contest.

The countries which confirmed their participation at Junior Eurovision 2021 so far are GermanyFranceThe NetherlandsRussia, Ireland ,Georgia. Poland and Portugal who has also selected their entrant for the contest.
Albania will make their decision in June while Norway,Finland, Czech Republic and Belgian broadcaster VRT confirmed they won’t be taking part at the show. France will be the host of this years edition of the show after the victory of Valentina with “J’imagine”.
