Molly Sandén will be performing at Oscars pre-show!

After the list of nominated in the category of the Best Original Song has been announced, a three-time participant at Melodifestivalen, former Swedish representative at Junior Eurovision, singer Molly Sandén (My Marianne) has been revealed as one of the five nominees for Húsavík (My Hometown) the song from the movie Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga. It has been revealed that nominated for the category will be performing during the red carpet pre-show, most of them will be performing from the rooftop terrace of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. Molly has revealed that she went to Húsavík in order to record her performance. The pre-show is set to begin on 26th of April at 00:30 CET. 

The full list of nominated in the category for the Academy Award for the Best Original Song:

  • “Husavik” from Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga
  • “Io Si (Seen)” from The Life Ahead (La Vita Davanti A Se)
  • “Fight For You” from Judas and the Black Messiah
  • “Hear My Voice” from The Trial of The Chicago 7
  • “Speak Now” from One Night In Miami

After the premiere of Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga the world went crazy for the Icelandic town, Húsavík and the song got nominations for The Critics Choice Awards93rd Academy AwardsGrammy Award in addition to that the town got a chance to build a special Eurovision museum to promote it’s tourism.
