Norway and Finland won’t participate at Junior Eurovision 2021!

According to Eurofestivales  we won’t be seeing the return of Norway at this years Junior Eurovision Song Contest. This was confirmed by Eva Rutgerson who is in charge for Melodi Grand Prix junior whose winners in 2003, 2004 & 2005 Norway sent as their representative at Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Since then MGPjr has been held each year but the winner isn’t representing Norway at the JESC as the country doesn’t take part at it.  Even though they haven’t won it Norway was the host of JESC 2004 which was held in Lillehammer . This years edition of Melodi Grand Prix junior will be taking place on 29th of May from Oslo Spektrum. In addition to the negative reply of Norway, Eurofestivales got a negative answer from Finland about their debut at Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021. Heidi Välkkilä,  head of press at YLE has confirmed to Eurofestivals that Finland will not be making their debut at this years show not participate in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021.

The countries which have confirmed their participation at Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 so far include GermanyFranceThe NetherlandsRussia, Ireland and Georgia . You can check the winning performance of “J’imagine” by Valentina below
