Simão Oliveira will be representing Portugal in Junior Eurovision 2021!

Portuguese broadcaster RTP has hit the Junior Eurovision fans with a surprise announcement this morning!
Last night young Simão Oliveira has won the Portuguese version of The Voice Kids and RTP went out with the announcement not just that Simão had won that competition… but als that he will be representing the country in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest!
This also confirms a comeback of the nation to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, since they hopped over the 2020 edition.

Simão himself is 13 years old and comes from Arouca. He lives there with his mum, dad and 8 year old sister Rita.
There in Arouca he plays the clarinet in the local youth band. He fell in love with fado music when he was just 6 years old and he doesn’t like cell phones and other modern stuff.

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest  will be taking place in France this year, following Valentina’s victory with ‘J’imagine’!
