Ana Soklič released mini album ‘Born To The Fight’ ahead of her departure to Rotterdam!

Slovenian Eurovision representative Ana Soklič and her team traveled to Rotterdam this morning, where the last preparations for the long-awaited  2021 edition of Eurovision Song Contest are taking place in the next days. Ana Soklič will represent Slovenia with the song Amen – she will perform on the Eurovision stage as the second in the first Semi-Final, which will take place on 18 May.

As we’ve reported in the past months, Ana will be accompanied by the extraordinary vocalist, renowned singing teacher and member of the group Okustični, Karin Zemljič, who has already proved herself in this role with Maraaya (2015), Manu (2016) and Lea Sirk (2018). She also revealed that she will not be performing on just one stage.

More than 60 people took part in the production of the song Amen – the song was composed in a truly elite and international team – it was composed by Ana Soklič, Žiga Pirnat and Bojan Simončič, and written by Ana Soklič, Žiga Pirnat and Charlie Mason.

Among the star names of this year’s song are undoubtedly members of the backing choir, gathered around Dorian HolleyMichael Jackson’s backing vocalist. Ana Soklič told MMC:

“The gospel part is also included in the song, which was only an addition to the recording at EMA 2021. Together we decided to include it in the song and in the performance itself, which will also be presented in Rotterdam.”

Just before leaving for Rotterdam, Ana Soklič and ZKP RTV Slovenija ‘packed’ the song, which she will perform on the Eurovision stage, into a mini-album entitled ‘Born to the Fight’. In addition to the original song, you can also find an extended, karaoke and a cappella version with the renowned vocal group Perpetuum Jazzile and two remixes, she also added the song Voda, in a symphonic version.
