BBC adds 1974 and 1998 contests online

British broadcaster The BBC have today added the 1974 and 1998 Eurovision Song Contests online.

Both contests can be found on the BBCiPlayer for the next 11 months, containing the commentary of David Vine for the 1974 contest and Terry Wogan for the 1998 contest.

The UK holds the record for hosting eight contests in total which include:

1960: London- Royal Festival Hall- Presenter Katie Boyle

1963: London- BBC Television Centre- Presenter Katie Boyle

1968: London- Royal Albert Hall- Presenter Katie Boyle

1972: Edinburgh- Usher Hall- Presenter Moira Shearer

1974: Brighton- Brighton Dome- Presenter Katie Boyle

1977: London- Wembley Conference Centre- Presenter Angela Rippon

1982: Harrogate- Harrogate International Centre- Presenter Jan Leeming

1998:Birmingham- National Indoor Arena- Presenters Terry Wogan and Ulrika Jonsson

Aswell as the above contests, The BBCiPlayer also currently features the compilation show ‘The A-Z of Eurovision’ aswell as a documentary about this year’s UK representative James Newman in ‘Eurovision 2021: The Road to Rotterdam’.
