Gagnamagnið’s Árný tests positive for Covid

ESC Bubble are sad to report that Árný Fjóla Ásmundsdóttir, wife of Daði  has tested positive for COVID-19 upon returning from Eurovision.

Árný, who is 24 weeks pregnant, says she is feeling “healthy and happy” now that she’s back at home. She and husband Daði Freyr will remain in isolation during her recovery period.

The band member announced the news on Instagram on Monday, saying:

“Ending this Eurovision trip by getting COVID myself. Feeling very healthy and happy to be back in my home country! Let’s continue to be careful for our health and for people around us.”

As we reported last week, the band chose not to perform live as another band member Jóhann tested positive for Covid, but the band progressed to the final, finishing in fourth place.

All of us at ESC Bubble wish Árný and the band a speedy recovery.
