Junior Eurovision to be held in Paris

The EBU have today announced that this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held at La Seine Musicale  in Paris.

The contest will take place on December 19th at La Seine Musicale. The venue first opened in 2017, and the slogan of this year’s contest will be ‘Imagine’. The Executive Producer will be Alexandra Redde-Amiel, with Martin Österdahl serving as Executive Supervisor.

At the time of writing, eight countries have so far confirmed their participation including:

  • Germany
  • France
  • Georgia
  • Ireland
  • Netherlands
  • Poland
  • Russia
  • Spain
  • Portugal

The following countries have so far confirmed that they will not be participating:

  • Bulgaria 
  • Czech Republic 
  • Finland
  • Iceland
  • Norway
  • Scotland
  • Sweden
  • Switzerland 

France won the Junior Eurovision last year with the song ‘J’imagine’, written by Igit and the singer representing France in this year’s Eurovision, Barbara Pravi. You can see the song below:
