Samanta Tina Releases ‘I’m The Woman’
Latvia’s entrant for Eurovision 2021, Samanta Tina has today released a new song ‘I’m The Woman’
The Latvian singer will perform her entry ‘The Moon Is Rising’ in this evening’s second semi-final. In the run up to the competition, Samanta revealed that The Moon Is Rising was selected from a total of eleven songs which were written at her songwriting camp. Among the eleven songs was ‘I’m The Woman’ and Samanta decided to release it now because of the continuing theme of female empowerment.
“I ranked all the songs from the camp in order, to choose the right one for Eurovision, and this song was convincingly in my TOP 3. It was made on the second day of the camp, and Arnis Racinskis and Janis Jacmenkins worked on it,”
Samanta goes on to say:
“The story of the song is like a flowing and natural continuation of my Eurovision song “The Moon Is Rising” – about accepting yourself and that we must learn that what makes us different from each other – that is our uniqueness. Love yourself, keep your head up and go your own way no matter what others think of you. We each have our dreams and goals, and the only one who can or cannot achieve them is you! Be unshakable! Head up and go boldly to make your dreams come true!”
Samanta has also been working on new material for an upcoming album and despite her busy schedule in Rotterdam, Samanta has worked on the lyric video for the song, which you can watch here:
