Swedish Eurovision star Sanna Nielsen is expecting her first child with her partner Joakim Ramsell. Nielsen shared the happy news in her Instagram account today, when it’s Mother’s Day in Sweden:
Nielsen writes the following:
I still can’t believe that this is true… I’ve experienced so many great adventures in my life, but the absolutely biggest and greatest adventure is that I will get to be a mother to our little miracle. I want to say a big congratulation to all mothers in Mother’s Day and a special congratulation to my own mother who gave me life and so much love
36-year-old Sanna Nielsen started her career already as a child, when she participated in several talent shows. Her debut album was released in 1996, when she was only 11-years-old, and after that she has made a really successful career in Sweden with numerous hit songs. She has taken part in Melodifestivalen, the Swedish national selection for Eurovision, seven times so far. In 2014 she won Melodifestivalen with her song Undo and represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, finishing 3rd in the Grand Final. After her Eurovision participation, she has not only continued her successful singing career, but also hosted a popular Swedish TV show Allsång på Skansen, which is filmed during summertimes in Stockholm. She also hosted Melodifestivalen 2015 together with comedian Robin Paulsson and was one of the Swedish commentators in Eurovision 2015.
Warm congratulations to the upcoming parents! Let’s remind ourselves of the amazing performance Sanna Nielsen gave us in Copenhagen in 2014:
