Susanne Georgi hopes for the return of Andorra at the Eurovision stage in 2022!

There were lots of news hinting that Andorra could make their possible return at the stage of Eurovision Song Contest – and that lasts for a while now. Their last representative was Susanne Georgi back at Eurovision 2009 with “La teva decisio (Get A Life)” and she was the one who was involved with the attempt to try to make the country return at the Eurovision stage.

Despite the fact that in August last year, Susanne confirmed the government gave the green light to Andorra’s return at the contest for it’s edition in 2022 , it doesn’t seem like their return will take place. As Eurofestivales reports after their conversation with the General Director of Andorran radio and television, RTVA, Xavier Mujal, the return of the country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 is not among their projects. In addition to that the Ministry of Culture of the Principality of Andorra has confirmed them that they have no record of the possible return of Andorra to Eurovision. Following that Susanne Georgi has made the statement on her Instagram which you can read below.
The Principality of Andorra made its debut at the Eurovision Song Contest in the 2004 decision and after six participations without ever qualifying to the final of the show they withdrew from the contest in 2010, because of the financial reasons. Their most successful entry was at “Salvem el mon” by Anonymous who reached the 12th place in the semi-final of Eurovision 2007, you can listen to it below.
