This is our prediction on the 10 qualifiers from Semi Final 2!

After the exciting first semi final on Tuesday, two of our team members and many of our readers have predicted the right outcome of the evening.  You can read about our predictions on semi final 1 here and check who was right and who was wrong. Will anybody be able to tell the exact 10 finalists from Semi Final 2?

Here are the predictions of 10 of our team members:

This means that all 10 team members see San Marino, Greece, Iceland and Switzerland in the final. Finland and Portugal have the support of 9 out of 10  team members, followed by Serbia with 8 out of 10. Bulgaria and Albania would also qualify with 7 out of 10 votes and our last finalist, with the support of 6 team members is Austria.

Therefore the 10 finalists of the ESCBubble Team are:

Denmark would just miss out with 5 out of 10 votes.

Again, our readers have voted for a slightly different outcome of the evening. At the point of writing this article, we have received 6587 votes on our poll for the second semi final and the results are as follows:

  2. Iceland – 838 votes
  3. Greece – 805 votes
  4. Finland – 704 votes
  5. San Marino – 590 votes
  6. Bulgaria – 457 votes
  7. Portugal – 420 votes
  8. Moldova – 315 votes
  9. Latvia – 289 votes
  10. Denmark – 274 votes
  11. Serbia – 271 votes
  12. Albania – 205 votes
  13. Austria – 143 votes
  14. Czech Republic – 95 votes

As you can see, our readers only agree with 7 of our 10 finalists this time. Moldova, Latvia and Denmark are in their top 10, while Serbia, Albania and Austria just miss out.

I was first introduced to the Eurovision Song Contest at the age of 9, when that "Love Oh Love" song was a big hit in Austria. After watching my first contest, I was absolutely mesmerized by that beautiful event. I re-watched it a million times, started to look up older contests and within a few months I knew pretty much all the songs that ever participated.
Also, I'm probably the only Eurovision fan ever, whose favorite entry is Saskia and Serge's "Tijd" from 1971.
