Estonia won’t be making their debut at Junior Eurovision 2021!

Estonian broadcaster ERR has confirmed to Eurofestivales that they won’t be making their debut at Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021.

Estonia is the only Baltic country which never took part at Junior Eurovision Song Contest, their neighbours Latvia confirmed that they won’t be making their return to the contest while Lithuania hasn’t made any statement regarding their participation, both countries withdrew from the contest in 2012. ERR made their decision due to the financial aspect of the contest which prevent Estonia for taking part at the show this year, however the broadcaster hasn’t ruled out their participation at the future editions of the contest. The only broadcast of Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Estonia was in 2003.

The countries which confirmed their participation at Junior Eurovision 2021 so far are GermanyFranceThe NetherlandsRussia, Ireland ,Georgia. Poland and Portugal who has also selected their entrant for the contest. Albania will make their decision in June while Latvia, DenmarkIceland, Bulgaria, Norway,Finland, Scotland, Sweden, Switzerland, WalesCzech Republic and Belgian broadcaster VRT confirmed they won’t be taking part at the show. The contest will take place on 19th of December in Paris following the victory of French representative Valentina with J’imagine.
