France open the submissions for their Eurovision 2022 entry!

After reaching their best placing in 30 years, the French waste no time! France Télévisions opens the submissions period for the national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, again for the format that brought them so much success this year: a national final.

A grand national final even, in their own words, for which the submissions are open until the 24th of October. Submitting happens over here while all the rules can be found right here!

After the deadline passes, casting will take place so the organising committee can pick the artists that will be competing in the national final. While this year Eurovision France: c’est vous qui décidez consisted of one show with 12 contestants, it is not yet known what the set-up for 2022 will be.

As mentioned, the winner of Eurovision France: c’est vous qui décidez 2021, Barbara Pravi, reached the highest placing for France in 30 years, equalling the result of Joëlle Ursull (1990) and Amina (1991).
She did so on the Rotterdam stage with ‘Voilà’:

Who do you hope the successor to Barbara Pravi will be?
