Israel won’t be returning at Junior Eurovision 2021!

On behalf of KAN (Israel Broadcasting Corporation), Yuval Fisher has revealed to Eurofestivales that Israel won’t be making their return at Junior Eurovision 2021. He stated that Israel prefers to put all of their effort into the Eurovision Song Contest, so the country will remain out of the Junior Eurovision third time in a row.

Israel debuted at Junior Eurovision 2012 and with “Let The Music Win” by Kids.il they managed to achieve their best result at the show, 8th place with 68 points.

Israel took part at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest on two more occasions in 2016 with “Follow My Heart” by Shir & Tim who reached 15th place with 27 points and their last participation was back in 2018 when they ended the contest as 14th with 81 point. The countries which confirmed their participation at Junior Eurovision 2021 so far are GermanyFranceThe NetherlandsRussia, Ireland ,Georgia. Poland and Portugal who has also selected their entrant for the contest. Albania will make their decision in June while Estonia, DenmarkIceland, Bulgaria, Norway,Finland, Scotland, Sweden, Switzerland, WalesCzech Republic and Belgian broadcaster VRT confirmed they won’t be taking part at the show. The contest will take place on 19th of December in Paris.
