Jessie J reportedly in talks to represent the UK at next year’s Eurovision

Jessie J is reportedly in talks to represent the UK at next year’s Eurovision.

According to reports, the singer and songwriter is the favourite contender to represent the UK next year, with bosses keen to do much better than this year’s nil points result.

A source told UK Newspaper ‘The Sun On Sunday’:

‘The production team are desperate to make a fresh start after this year’s flop and are trying to lure top talent with promises of lucrative record sales and international exposure.

‘They are determined to come back fighting and think Jessie would be perfect. She has a huge following in Europe. But Jessie is in demand so pinning her down might be harder than they think.”

Next year wouldn’t be the first time that Jessie J has took part in a competition, with the singer taking part and winning the Chinese singing competition ‘Singer’ in 2018.

Jessie J was rumoured to be representing the UK back in 2014, however the singer and songwriter later rejected the rumours.

Aswell as Jessie J, UK Comedian Bill Bailey has also revealed that he attempted to apply for Eurovision once but that his entry was rejected. Other singers have come forward to say that they’d like to either sing or write a song for the UK, including Little Boots and 2021 UK Jury Member Tom Aspaul, Eurovision: Making Your Mind Up 2005 Finalist Katie Price, aswell as Reality TV Star Gemma Collins.
