DR revealed that some of the votes weren’t counted during the final of Eurovision 2021!
Danish broadcaster DR has revealed that a small part of the televotes casted by Danish viewers haven’t been registered in the evening of the final of Eurovision 2021. The reason behind it was the new IT system at the supplier which processes the Danish votes. In addition to that they stated that the missing votes wouldn’t have impacted the outcome.
Right after they tried to cast their vote instead of the confirmation some Danish viewers received an info that they have already voted once before, which was according to them, not the case. DR revealed that a small number of votes failed to be counted, the problem happened in the system of the partner which provided the voting system, Sinch. It has been revealed that their IT system was overwhelmed by the number of sent votes and as a result to that small part of votes has been rejected as an error.
