Seventeen cities want to host Eurovision 2022!
A week ago the EBU and next year’s host broadcaster RAI opened the hunt for the host city for Eurovision 2022:
The search for the Eurovision 2022 Host City is ON! 🔍🇮🇹https://t.co/o9cH9Sg1OG

And they immediately released the ground rules for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 as well, the requirements cities interested in hosting next year’s contest must meet.
Those demands didn’t slow down matters at all! No less than seventeen cities have declared their interest!
They are:
- Acireale (Catania)
- Alessandria
- Bertinoro di Romagna (Forlì – Cesena)
- Bologna
- Florence
- Genoa
- Jesolo (Venice)
- Matera
- Milan
- Palazzolo Acreide (Syracuse)
- Pesaro
- Rimini
- Rome
- Sanremo (Imperia)
- Turin
- Trieste
- Viterbo
Today, RAI will deliver the bid books to all of those cities, so they can fill them in with their full details, their proposal on how to viably host the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. They’ve got time to do so until August 4, after which the EBU and RAI will have a good look at the bids and make their choice guided by the following principles:
The honour of hosting the 66th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest will be awarded to one of the candidate cities on the condition they can meet all of the criteria set out by the EBU, as well as state their ability to support the Contest through services and economic contributions.
One of these 17 will be hosting these youngsters as well next year:
Which one of the seventeen would you like the contest to move to next year?
