Since their debut at the contest back in 2012 RTSH has used the national selection to decide on their entry. They made the debut with “Kam një këngë vetëm për ju” by Igzidora Gjeta who finished last 12th place at JESC 2012. So far they have participated six times (2012, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019). It is expected that in the upcoming days RTSH will open the call for songs to represent Albania at JESC 2021. Best result Albania achieved at Junior edition of the contest so far is fifth place back in 2015 with “Dambaje” by Mishela Rapo. Their last participation was in 2019 with “Mikja ime fëmijëri” by Isea Çili. Albania hasn’t taken part at Junior Eurovision 2020 because of the COVID 19 pandemic.
