Since their debut at the contest back in 2012 RTSH has used the national selection to decide on their entry. They made the debut with “Kam një këngë vetëm për ju” by Igzidora Gjeta who finished last 12th place at JESC 2012. So far they have participated six times (2012, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019).
