Niamh Kavanagh: “Eurovision is the gift that keeps on giving”

EuroStarz returned to London this August with another lineup of Eurovision greats. And for our final interview as the official Media Partner we were delighted to welcome an Irish Eurovision queen – Niamh Kavanagh.

Niamh represented Ireland in 1993 with “In Your Eyes”, taking Irish victory for the second year in a row. As Eurovision royalty, she then returned to the contest in 2010 where she performed “It’s For You”, placing 23rd in the final.

Matt had a quick chat with her before her performance and they discussed her experiences in Eurovision – both home and away, how her life changed after her Eurovision win and her memories of  the night in 1993, including Malta’s dramatic voting.

You can catch our interviews with the other performing acts here:

We hope you enjoyed the interviews with all of the participants and look forward to seeing the EuroStarz team again next year for another great night!
