Roksana Węgiel doesn’t plan to take part at Eurovision 2022!

Back in August the director of Polish broadcaster TVP has confirmed that Poland will take part at Eurovision 2022 and a week ago they opened the submission window for the contest with the deadline being 20th of November. Poland has recently chosen their representative for Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021, Sara James will sing “Somebody” at the contest. And among the artists who showed great support to Sara James was the winner of Junior Eurovision 2018, Roksana Węgiel.

In an interview for eurowizja.org Roksana revealed that she has been previously approached for Eurovision 2021 and declined the offer which was made to her by TVP in addition to that she ruled out to submit of a song for Eurovision 2022.

I do not feel ready for adult Eurovision, I will not hide it. I don’t feel it right now, at this point, so for now the idea is gone. Although who knows, maybe in the future? Really, if I decided to participate in adult Eurovision, I would have to come up with a very good number.

When asked about the style of a song she would like to perform at the stage of Eurovision Song Contest if she decides to participate in the future she answered that the modern ballad which could present the full range of her vocal would be her choice for the contest.
