RTSH extends the submission window for FiK 60!

Back in July the Albanian broadcaster, RTSH has opened the submission window for Festivali i Këngës 60. It has been announced that the deadline for artists interested to submit the song is 30th of September but now they prolonged it to 15th of October which gives all the interested authors additional two weeks to submit the song for the  the 60th edition of Albanian music festival. The Festival is traditionally organised in December and it consists out of Semi-finals and a Grand Final evening.

The requirements for this years applicants include the following:
The final sung version of the song;
The final version of the instrumental with and without backing vocals;
Full lyrics of the song;
The names of the authors of the song, artist and the composer;
Photo and profile / biography of the singer or band including other activities, awards and specials.

Since their debut at Eurovision 2004, Albania used Festivali i Këngës to select artist and the entry there was one exception back in 2015 and it happens that the winning songs undergo a revamp before Eurovision. After winning Festivali i Këngës 59 with “Karma”, Anxhela Peristeri represented Albania at Eurovision 2021 where she got 57 points and finished as 21st in the Grand Final.
