After RTVE announced a new concept to select the Spanish Eurovision entry for the 66th contest in Turin, it was soon revealed that the Bernidorm Fest would be Spain’s National Final for 2022. The deadline for submitting songs for this festival has now been expanded from October 29th to November 10th.
According to Eva Mora, the Spanish head of delegation, the expansion was made, in order to give as many talented artists and composers can reach in their best possible proposals.

Mora further said that everyone’s goal for the Benidorm Festival is to have a big number of competitive compositions, in order to play a relevant role in Turin 2022. She has shown herself to be enthusiastic to improve Spain’s results at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest.
The Benidorm Festival is supposed to take place in January 2022. Benidorm will host three shows, two semi-finals and one final, with 12 participating acts in total.
