Submissions for “Pabandom iš Naujo” 2022 in full swing!

Lithuanian broadcaster LRT has opened the submission window for all the artists interested to take part at the third edition of “Pabandom iš Naujo”, which will be used to determine their representative at Eurovision Song Contest 2022.

The selection will not have more than 6 shows: three heats , two semi-finals and a final. There might be fewer shows, but that depends on the number of participants. Maximum of 36 will be accepted and they will be splitting up to 54.000 EUR in order to create the phonogram and the performance itself. The selection kicks off in the beginning of January.

“Eurovision” is one of the topics that unites and attracts the most different people of Lithuania to television screens. It is the entertainment that brings us together, which we watch, vote for, support, talk about, which is why the public broadcaster is trying to raise the quality of the Eurovision national selection. We hope that due to the financial contribution of LRT, we will have many equal and high-quality performances in the selection, regardless of whether they are performers attracting full arenas of listeners or talented creators who have not yet had a chance to be heard.
Gytis Oganauskas, LRT Deputy General Manager.

The submissions deadline is 25th of November. The full set of rules can be found HERE.

The winners of the first two editions of “Pabandom iš Naujo” The Roop represented Lithuania at Eurovision 2021 with “Discoteque” and managed to achieve the second best result for the country placing 8th with 220 points. The best result was achieved back in 2006 when LT United placed 6th with “We Are The Winners“. You can check out the performance of “Discoteque” by The Roop below
