Karusel has just broadcast the Russian national final for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021, which took place two days ago. So, we can now enjoy the performance of Tanya Mezhentseva at the shows as well as check out the full results of the competition.
Like in previous years, Karusel and the Igor Krutoy Academy have teamed up for the Russian entry at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The national selection process was made up of different stages, including an open call for songs, an internal audition and the national final show, which has been broadcast today. 12 acts reached the final of the selection and were given original songs written for them.

At the final, all the candidates delivered the songs live for the first time in front of the professional jury panel, made up of Yulia Savicheva (Eurovision 2004), Ekaterina Orlova (Head of the JESC Delegation and member of the Steering Group), Katya Maneshina (Former Russian finalist for JESC), Valery Kuzakov (Young singer) and Manizha (Eurovision 2021), which decided half of the final outcome after the public online voting decided the other half for five days.

This year I decided to try my hand at a solo song and I did it! I am very glad that I will represent Russia at the competition in Paris. I want to note that I had strong opponents. All the participants had good songs and beautiful numbers. I wanted to thank everyone who voted for me and my song ‘Mon Ami’ in the finale! And also my family, which always supports me., said Tanya.
A revamp of the song is being made at this moment, so we expect the release of an official music video along with the new version in the coming weeks.
