Barbora Mochowa releases “Wait For Life”

Two-time participant in the Czech national selection and a big fan favorite Barbora Mochowa has just released her brand new single, titled “Wait For Life”.

The video clip was directed by Petr Lexa, and it was filmed in the Prokop Valley. When talking about the song and the shooting of the videoclip, Barbora stated:

“Wait For Life” is a song that expresses hope, an effort to come to terms with the past that sometimes doesn’t make you sleep, and then its transition to joy. We shot the video one beautiful autumn day around the Prokop Valley. I’ve never enjoyed filming so much. And I immediately liked Petr’s idea of including another mysterious character in the video. But I must not reveal more, you have to watch it.

Petr Lexa is the lead singer of the Czech pop-rock band Slza. Apart from singing, he tried himself out as an actor as well in the TV series “Port”, and after noticing Barbora in ESCZ, he wanted to work together with her:

I first noticed Barbora in our Eurovision selection a few years ago. Even then, her specific voice color and sense of catchy melodies got stuck in my memory. Now our journeys have come together. She was looking for a Director for her clip, so I offered myself. She sent me the song and I fell in love with from the first note. We agreed on a simple visual concept, which is mainly about the mood and the overall atmosphere of the song. But even so, we managed to get an inconspicuous story.

Barbora co-composed the song together with Viliam Béreš, whilst Tereza Frantová helped co-write the lyrics. You can give a listen to the song, and check out its videoclip right here:
