Georgia internally selected their act for Eurovision 2022!

Georgian public broadcaster revealed some news about their entrant for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin. In the news program they have announced that the act which will going to represent this country has already been internally selected claiming that this years project has an original concepts and that the reveal of the identities of band members will be made known to the public in stages, which is part of the concept.

The reason why Georgia went for an internal selection is the Covid-19 pandemic. The Art Council of the Georgian broadcaster and the music producers made a joint decision about the group which will be representing the country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. The date of the announcement hasn’t been stated yet. You can watch the news in Georgian at the link below.

At Eurovision 2021, Georgia was represented by the same artist which was their choice for the cancelled, Eurovision 2020, Tornike Kipiani who sang “You” in second semi-final of the show. He ended on 16th place with 16 points. You can watch his performance below
