The Armenian national broadcaster has just confirmed that 14 year old Maléna is going to be representing Armenia at this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which will be held in Paris.
Maléna has a rich music background already, as she attended music school for seven years already, studying solfeggio, music literature and playing the violin. She comes from a family of musicians, as her grandfather is a drummer and he also plays in a philharmonic orchestra in Armenia. During last year, Maléna also learnt how to play the guitar, which also landed her a contract with the TKN record label.
She was originally selected to represent Armenia in last year’s Junior Eurovision, before the national broadcaster withdrew from the Contest. The song she is going to perform in Paris is going to be released later this week.
Armenia last took part in Junior Eurovision in 2019, when Karina Ignatyan represented her country with “Colours of Your Dream” and ended up in 9th place, which is Armenia’s worst result in the Contest.
