Winners of Eurovision 2021, Måneskin, won another award for their work. They snatched the title as best rock act at EMA 2021.

Recently they have opened for Rolling Stones, revealed the dates of their European Tour, performed at Global Citizen Live and front Gucci Aria campaign. Their success in the music industry and the fact that they reached #1 at the Spotify Global Viral Chart together with all the other achievement lead them to the newest one at their list – being the first Italian act to win in an international category in the history of the European Music Awards.

They were nominated in three categories at MTV Europe Music Awards 2021 best band, best Italian act and best rock, which they won.

The other two categories which they were nominated in went to Aka 7even (Best Italian act) and the most awarded group of EMA 2021 with 4 and EMA in general with 11 awards, South Korean boy band, BTS. However there were other Eurovision related artists who won awards, the third placed artist of Eurovision 2021, Gjon’s Tears won the EMA for the best Swiss act, the runner up of Operacion Triunfo 2017, Aitana won the best Spanish act award, the contestant of Festival da Canção 2018, Diogo Piçarra won the best Portuguese act, alongside him among the nominees was the runner up of FdC 2020, Bárbara Tinoco.
