Nikoloz Kajaia will represent Georgia at Junior Eurovision 2021!

The final of Georgian music show, Ranina has just taken place and Nikoloz Kajaia has been crowned as winner and will be the one to wave the Georgian flag at La Seine Musicale in Paris on 19th of December.

This was the fourth time Ranina was used to select the Georgian entrant for Junior Eurovision. Each week the judges panel of the show changed and rated the contestants according to their skills in four different segments: voice, acting, artistic and collaborative skills. In the end, the average ranking decided that the three finalists who competed for a chance to represent Georgia at Junior Eurovision 2021 were:

This is 15th appearance of Georgia at Junior Eurovision and it’s the third time they sent a male soloist to the contest. So Far Georgia has won the show three times and ended as runner up on two occasions. Since the introduction of Ranina as their selection method for the artist at JESC in 2018, their best result was last years 6th place with “You are not alone” performed by Sandra Gadelia.

Could the 10 years old Nikoloz Kajaia be the one to change that statistics remains to be seen. The release date of the Georgian entry for Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 hasn’t been revealed but until they announce their song you can watch the final performance of Nikoloz Kajaia at Ranina below
