Finnish broadcaster has announced the date of their national selection for Eurovision Song Contest 2022! Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu is set to take place in Turku on 26th of February.

The venue chosen for the eleventh edition of the show is Logomo arena and conference centre in Turku. This won’t be the first time that Turku is hosting the show as they’ve done it back in 2019 while last two years the show took place at Mediapolis Studios in Tampere. The final of the show will broadcast on Yle TV1, Yle Areena and Yle’s radio channels with the start at 20:00 CET.
The artist table selected for this year’s competition is the most versatile of UMK’s ever. Rising pop stars who have succeeded in streaming services, international export promises, an artist known to all Finns, also seen in a music program known to everyone, a long-time favorite from the 80s to the present day and new names glowed by the music industry;

The artists of the 2022 New Music Competition will be announced on Wednesday 12th of January while the competing entries will be presented one at a time on following days starting from 13th of January. At Eurovision 2021, Finland was represented by Blind Channel, who took the audience to the “Dark Side” and ended the show on 6th place with 301 points. You can check their performance below.
