Armenian entry for Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 has been released today. As we informed you earlier Maléna Fox was confirmed as their representative at this years edition of the show. Maléna should’ve represented Armenia at last years edition of the contest before they made the decision to withdraw from it. She will be performing the song “Qami Qami” (Wind wind).
Armenia competes at Junior Eurovision for the 14th time, they made the debut back in 2007 and the only contest which they missed so far was last years. They won the show once, back in 2010 with “Mama” by Vladimir Arzumanyan and they hosted it the following year at Karen Demirchyan Complex in Yerevan. Armenia has been the runner up of the show on 4 occasions (2007,2009,2015,2016).
Same as last year for the song “Why” the author team behind the song consists out of tokionine, Vahram Petrosyan, David Tserunyan and Maléna herself. She attempted to represent Armenia earlier, as she competed at Junior edition of Depi Evratesil back in 2018 with the song “Par“, she ended the contest on 8th place. Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 is going to take place on 19th of December at La Seine Musicale. The hosts of it are Élodie Gossuin, Olivier Minne and Carla while DJ duo Ofenbach and Barbara Pravi will be performing. The total of 19 countries compete:
